I began my yoga journey around 2011. I knew from the first class that I took I had stumbled onto something special, I just didn’t know what exactly. Like many yogis I had an inconsistent practice when I first started, but was determined to continue exploring as I tried to find classes and teachers that offered more than just the physical. I eventually completed my 200-hour training at Life Power, a platform created by Jonny Kest, whose lineage tracks through David Williams, one of the first non-Indians certified to teach the ashtanga yoga system. As a teacher I put emphasis on breathing, the link between breathe and movement, creating balance, and revitalization through meditative themes. As a student I am always learning, ever-evolving and overall thankful.
